About Garn Anderson Garn Anderson, Vice President, General Business Group, Fletcher/CSI, has conducted strategic analysis, forecasting, and global social network building for business and competitive intelligence on behalf of military, government, and corporate clients. Prior to joining Fletcher/CSI, Garn served as the VP of Business & Community Intelligence with the Knight Center of Digital Excellence, tasked with accelerating the adoption of universal access and connectivity across 26 U.S. communities. Garn also led Energizer's global Business Intelligence/Competitive Intelligence (BI/CI) division and established an innovative process to codify tacit corporate knowledge.Mr. Anderson is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and the Intelligence Leadership Forum, a select group of global Fortune 1000 companies with best-in-class BI/CI programs.
About Debbie Bardon
Debbie Bardon started her Bardon On Call research and consulting business in 1997. She joined AIIP in 1999. Prior to opening Bardon On Call, she had more than twenty years' experience in sales and marketing with Cox Broadcasting, Lesher Newspapers, and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Debbie applies her skills in sales and marketing to the art of conducting incisive customer, competitor and industry research and analysis. She is recognized in the research and competitive intelligence communities for her "Confessions of a Call Girl..." articles and presentations on conducting primary research. She served on the AIIP Board of Directors in 2002-2003 as Director of Marketing and Communications and chaired the 2002 AIIP Conference in Long Beach CA. She also served as the AIIP conference site selection coordinator for conferences from 2004 through 2011.
Debbie served as board president for the Stride Center (formerly StreetTech,) a non-profit organization that provides computer and life skills/professional training to underserved, at-risk adults in the San Francisco Bay Area. Debbie is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a B.A. in Humanities and two years of Post Graduate work in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University. She lives in her home town of Oakland California with her husband Dan, her dog Phoebe, and cat Jesse.
About Karen Klein
Karen Klein launched Fulcrum Information Resources in 2004, offering business research, project management and business writing services to businesses in the durable consumer goods industry. Karen has over 20 years of management experience in marketing communications and corporate communications with home furnishings manufacturers. She earned her B.A. in journalism and her M.S. in information science from The Pennsylvania State University. Karen loves to exceed her clients' expectations and nothing thrills her more than finding that elusive piece of information. When she's not hunting juicy nuggets of data, Karen enjoys leisure time with her husband and daughter, golfing and cooking.
