In lasting memory of her unique spirit of sharing
expertise, experience and knowledge to advance the independent
information profession, AIIP established the Sue Rugge Memorial
Award in 1999. The award consists of a $500 cash stipend awarded to
a Full member of
AIIP who has significantly helped another member through formal
or informal mentoring. Nominations are accepted in the form of
a short essay (under 500 words) describing how a nominee has been
of exceptional assistance in the development of the mentee's business
(e.g., posting on AIIP-L or by formal or informal mentoring).
