Competitive Intelligence is a buzz-word for knowing what’s happening in the business environment. As such, understanding the basic theory of competitive intelligence can be a major help when talking to clients even if your business professionalism is far from the corporate world. It can also help you understand and plan your own business growth: banks and other funders generally expect some competitive intelligence to be included in any business plan.
This workshop will introduce the concepts behind competitive intelligence explaining what it is and why it is important. It will look at basic ideas for analysing the competitive environment – explaining what Porter Analysis, PEST and other such terms actually mean. The session will show why competitive intelligence is not espionage and how you can apply it to your own businesses - whether by adding it to your portfolio of services or for anticipating and planning for your own business future.
