AIIP 2020 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
APRIL 23-26, 2020
13 March 2020
As many of you know, we have been closely monitoring the coronavirus crisis and recommendations by the WHO and CDC. Given the increasingly uncertain future ahead of us, and following the recommendations from experts and government authorities, the AIIP Board has decided to cancel the 2020 conference. This has been a most difficult decision, but we believe that it is the only responsible action to take during these extraordinary times.
More information is forthcoming, including information about refunds and logistics.
Members are responsible for cancelling their own room reservations with the Warwick Hotel.
We are sure you have questions! Please be patient. We will continue to communicate with everyone involved in the conference and with AIIP members.
This is a huge disappointment to all of us, including all the volunteers who have worked so hard to bring the conference to life. Being together is a highlight of the year! Yet these are uncharted waters, and everyone's health and safety matter most.
—AIIP Board, 2019-2020
Update: 9 March, 2020
The AIIP Board of Directors and the conference committee chair are carefully tracking the latest reports on coronavirus and are monitoring the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) both in the United States and abroad.
At this time, we expect that the Annual Conference will proceed as planned. However, we realize that this is a dynamic situation and as such, the AIIP Board will continue to track this situation closely.
