In this session, Cindy Shamel and Ulla de Stricker will share examples of how they have applied “Knowledge Management thinking” to provide added value to projects, and help their clients gain new insights.

About the presenters:

Since founding Shamel Information Services in 1998, Cindy Shamel has provided consulting and research services to corporate executive boards, CEOs, CFOs, Executive Vice Presidents, General Counsel, and Executive Directors along with United States Navy Captains and Lieutenant Commanders. In 2000 Cindy joined the Board of Directors of the Association of Independent Information Professionals, served as President in 2003-2004, and received the Sue Rugge Memorial Award in 2006.

With decades of experience in the information industry and in information related operations, Ulla de Stricker specializes in strategic planning for an organization's information and knowledge management policies, practices, and delivery mechanisms including specialized libraries and information/knowledge centers. Frequently, engagements involve modernizing existing information operations or developing strategic plans for new information services and relationships tuned to the practices of today's intellectual workers.
