Mary Ellen provides strategic business analysis to decisionmakers and consulting services to the information industry. Her passion projects are beekeeping and supporting both new and long-time infopreneurs with strategic coaching services. She loves what she does and her goal is to help fellow entrepreneurs build the business they envision.
Mary Ellen is the author of seven books: The Reluctant Entrepreneur: Making a Living Doing What You Love (2014) Building & Running a Successful Research Business (2nd edition, 2010), Super Searchers Cover the World (2001), Mining for Gold on the Internet (2000), Researching Online For Dummies (2nd edition, with Reva Basch, (2000), Super Searchers Do Business (1999), and The Online Deskbook (1996). She writes the Online Spotlight column for Online Searcher and is contributing editor of The Information Advisor. She is a frequently-requested international keynote speaker on the information industry and online research. She was the first recipient of the AIIP Sue Rugge Memorial Award (and has been given the award twice) and served as 1996-1997 and 2004-2005 President of AIIP. She frequently serves as a volunteer for AIIP and the Special Libraries Association.
